Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Hare Krishna Movement Bhilai, we take the utmost care to process donations as per the instructions given by our donors, online and offline. However, in case of an unlikely event of an erroneous donation or if the donor would like to cancel his/her donation, the Hare Krishna Movement Bhilai will respond to the donor within 7 working days of receiving a valid request for refund from the donor.

The timely refund of the donation will depend upon the type of credit card/banking instrument used during the transaction. The donor will have to send the Hare Krishna Movement Bhilai a written request for a refund within 2 days of making the donation to hkmbhilai@gmail.com along with proof of the deduction of the donation amount.

1. Donation Refund Policy

  • Voluntary Donations: Donations once made for charitable causes (Annadanam, Deity Seva, General Fund, etc.) are generally non-refundable.
  • Erroneous Transactions: In cases where the donation was made by mistake (e.g., double payment due to technical glitch, or incorrect amount entered), we will process a refund.
  • Unauthorized Usage: If a transaction is found to be unauthorized or fraudulent, the amount will be refunded to the source account upon verification.

2. Event Cancellation Policy

For events, festivals, or special sevas where a booking fee is applicable:

  • Cancellation by Participant: If you have registered for an event and wish to cancel, you must contact us at least 3 days prior to the event date. A cancellation fee of 10% may apply to cover administrative costs.
  • Cancellation by Organization: If Hare Krishna Movement Bhilai cancels an event due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the registration fee will be issued to all participants.

3. Processing Timeline

  • If a refund request is approved, we will initiate the refund within 5-7 business days.
  • The amount will be credited back to the original method of payment (Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI) used during the transaction.
  • Please note that depending on your bank’s processing time, it may take additional time for the funds to reflect in your account.
